My friend dislocated his shoulder again today for the 15th time. He didn't want to tell me, because I'd worry. How bad does this hurt????? He says it doesn't hurt...I don't believe him! Anyone had this happen before? How painful was it?

i've done it many times. the first few times you do it, it is some of the worst pain you will ever experience. once you do it a 4th, 5th etc... it doesn't hurt as much.

ive done it... and i cann do it on command... I hurt my shoulder badly out fishin on my boat once... we were in a storm and had 6ft rollers coming over the bow... I went to get up at the wrong time and BAMMMMmmm my should popped... Its been fucked ever since...

Me, and I had an operation to fix it in Bangkok, Thailand, the operation is well worth it.
Few months of re-hab after and all good, i have a big scar, but that is nothing compaired to when it used to drop out every 10 mins...that was not nice.
I had shattered bone and cracked shoulder blade, so it hurt.

The pain aint so intense at first maybe but if it's not being taken cared of then certainly that pain will intensify.

I had a dislocated arm once back then on my seventh grade while playing basketball with friends.

They have a doctor on site, so it was taken care of right away! It sounds very painful to me, but I've never had it happen to me, so I didn't know.

My right shoulder is horrible. It doesn't dislocate all the way... it defluxes? I think that's the word the Dr. used...

I'll be laying in bed with my hands above my head watching tv.. and it will just slip out and get caught in joint.. so i can't move it.

It's not quite as bad as completely dislocating it i don't think =) But it still hurts like hell and happens all the time. I feel sorry for your friend.

I once dislocated my shoulders during a basketball game. I still can remember how painful that was. :Oh crap
