Guess how much the contract was to pick up the dead bodies?

Each worker gets paid $21,000 a month. And that's just the worker's cut.

:1orglaugh

Guess how much Carnival is getting paid for 3 cruise ships? $240 Million for 6 months and the ships are just docked the whole time.

Each ship holds 2,000 passengers. So Carnival is making $40 Million a month getting about $15,000 a month to rent each cabin.

Its all about the almight dollar. Always and forever.

i am sure there are at least 2 dozen reasons why it is considered hazardous work. disease etc. i dont think ambulance crews are running around throwing body parts into the back of a pickup truck.

and i have a bunch of that stock, so keep on rising. And if you really think there is a conspiracy with halliburton and anything you got some serious issues.

Thats why they got the no bid contract in NO because there is no other companies to do that kind of work. Then they are waiving fair wage rights in NO . Yep got to love it lol

It would take about five times that to get me to do that shit.

KBR is based in Houston, they would be the ones who could get there the quickest and are one of the few companies that can do it. KBR has worked with the goverment for freaking ever and always performed. If you know they can do the job and do it well, why waste the time trying to find someone who may or may not be cheaper, and might not get the job done right. Its customer loyalty, im sure you do it yourself.

Yeah real interesting. Two words: Marc Rich.

Don't know who that is or why it's relevant? Google is your friend.

Both parties are terrible, it's shame there literally is no one to represent the needs of the majority. Instead we waffle between the religious nuts on the Right and clueless imbeciles on the Left. I'd be ashamed to say I'm loyal to either of them right now, that's how bad it's gotten.

Sad.

Do you know the storm in texas that hit in 1900 that killed 12000 people, the san francisco earth quake and the great chicago fire. The cities were rebuilt by private money no federal money and it was done rather quickly.

Utter absurdity! When ya think there are good folks in the southern states with experience related to body collection (usually from the gulf) - I know two and they'd throw up if they realized others were getting paid $21K! They do it for police salaries!

It's always nice to see some real compassion showing from cruise lines and great they get deals for just $15K/cabin - my heart bleeds for em.

It's clear there is still nada organization there yet - or a deliberate attempt to skim the last buck out of this.
