conservatives get companies to pull ads from playboy
 

i have a question - why don't we and our families, our friends, and people who believe in the right of companies with products marketed to adults to advertise on adult programing also start writing to these companies?

seems to me that right now the heavy-duty so-called christians are getting their own way on everything as they are the most vocal group. i personally don't want to support a company that gives in to this pressure, and i know lots of other people who don't, either. so why is it that we don't let those companies know that we will not purchase products from companies that give in to these groups? our money will talk a lot louder than message boards...

FFA says its members waged a letter-writing campaign that included emails and faxes to flood the channel?s advertisers with angry messages regarding their support of the show. Thirty of the companies have since stopped advertising during the time slot, according to FFA, as a direct result of the form letter."

They know how to organize, .xxx becomes manditory for adult . They can do the same thing to isp's you think it cant your dreaming. All those fortune 100 companies running scared from a couple of hundred letters.

Wouldnt hurt to email those companies that pulled there ad's and state that you support those companies and enjoy'd seeing them on the PlayBOy CHannel?

Thats a great idea but the problem with the pro porn crowd is they arent organized like the extreme religious.

i've read that the group that caused all that craziness with janet jackson and the fcc is only 1000 people. we can certainly get 1000 people to write and let these companies know that we will spend our money and use our support for companies that support diversity and don't knuckle under to this kind of religious blackmail.

why do we need to be organized or have a leader? is there some reason we can't all send emails or make phonecalls without a leader?

seriously, would you be more motivated to write to a company if you saw an article written out with a link to the company, or even a pre-written email?
