hmmm.... i don't know who he is, but as a (not currently) licensed pilot i have to say that landing was pretty flippin' smooth! :thumbsup

Babagirls 09-21-2005 06:25 PM

sonofsam 09-21-2005 06:26 PM

that was an amazing landing, the fire was scary.. thought it would burst into flames... but according to the person on the live feed it was normal

Agreed :)

dynastoned 09-21-2005 06:27 PM

that was a great landing considering he couldn't steer the plane once the front tire hit the runway.

tony286 09-21-2005 06:29 PM

Thats why they get paid the big bucks for times like this.

Pete-KT 09-21-2005 06:29 PM

That was Excelent landing

Chio The Pirate 09-21-2005 06:34 PM

YARGH! Amazin'. He did a great job of landin' that boat. Looked hairy with the sparks, and flames.

tASSy 09-21-2005 06:37 PM

right on the line, that was spot on, that guy. :thumbsup

Well, actually, he could steer the plane, both with the rudder and with the differential braking on the main landing gear :-)

Either way, it was amazing watching it. I was really surprised the the front strut didn't just break right off though...

Gottis 09-21-2005 06:56 PM

Anybody got a video clip of it?

Well, normal considering they are rubber tires being rubbed the wrong way down the runway

herself432 09-21-2005 07:01 PM

Videoclip on cnn.com

You'd be surprised how shitty most pilots get paid these days. jetBlue actually pays pretty well and much better then most airlines but I believe they have stricter policies... Plus they are actually doing well. lol

Radik 09-21-2005 07:34 PM

You don't have to pay just click the stupid tab that i missed.

Spunky 09-21-2005 07:37 PM

Quite the flame as he was landing,he did an awesome job to keep it steady

reed_4 09-21-2005 07:52 PM

Yeah, hes definately the hero of the month for that.

Rebecca Love 09-21-2005 08:16 PM

I hope he is my pilot when I have to fly home. :thumbsup

Cogitator 09-21-2005 08:19 PM

Fucking A! The pilot left the front up for a bit while the plane slowed down. That's why the nose wheel didn't snap off. Majorly excellent piloting. Most airliner landings are computer controlled these days. This one was definitely done by the pilot. Having flown a plane a private plane before myself, I'm very impressed.

onlymovies 09-21-2005 08:23 PM

Yep, a truly awesome pilot. Amazing how much he let the plane slow before putting the nose down. I think he deserves a day off. :2 cents:

:winkwink:

garce 09-21-2005 08:27 PM

He did a beautiful job. It was good to see things turned out well.

seeric 09-21-2005 08:28 PM

i was very relieved that the wheel didnt snap off and cause the fuselage to catch fire

WebairGerard 09-21-2005 08:46 PM

Truly amazing! What's just as amazing is that he didn't shit his pants! Nice Job!

2257-Ben 09-21-2005 09:15 PM

Yeah, I recorded it so I can re-encode it to post onto Consumption Junction.

Ycaza 09-21-2005 09:17 PM

pornguy 09-21-2005 09:18 PM
