My Prediction: Gas to hit $4 if Rita continues its projected path

Do not say that, it finally dropped below 3.00 here and is in the low 2.90's

Yeah I filled up at $2.96 today at the "no name" gas station in town. The US is still only at 90% capacity for refining with the other 10% totally fucked up and out of commission from Katrina, and if Rita hits texas the way its supposed to, it will knock out another 30-40% capacity that sits in tx. Time to find a moped. :(

Man, I feel bad for you guys. I payed 2.39 a gallon here in Mexico the other day.

$4 a gallon? The major refineries are in Houston, and Galveston. More like $10 a gallon if they shut down.

I filled up last night at 2.59. My tank will last me 3-4 weeks. Hope it doesn't hit 3-4 dollars
