THey have alot.....alot...alot of energy....

Very high strung.

If you dont have alot of time to spend with them training them and getting them plenty of excercise then dont get one.

THey are very smart so If trained they are great dogs but if not they are just huge butts...

These are very clever and active dogs who need to have room to run. If you live in a small apartment and you aren't home a lot this is probably not the dog for you. Lots of people give these dogs up because they are so active they can't deal with them. Unfortunately there are many Jack Russel rescue services because of this.

My best friend growing up had one. They are great but full of energy and need room to run around even though they are small guys.

They are highly energetic and have quite the personality.. good training a must and you have to have time to spend with them. My mom has one and its insane half the time.. she is just now settling down after 10 years.

I've been adopted by my girl's JKRT. Short leg, but wide, he's pure brown/fawn color with white feet. he weighs about 22lbs. He's not as pyscho as other JKRT, a real lap dog named after Pavel Bure when he played for the Canuks.

They are extremely smart. He's 11 years old and learns new tricks daily, more important, he wants too!

They can be very bossy dogs, but are so worth it. I'm looking at getting us another down here in Florida, but dont know how he'll react when he comes down to a smaller, cute, younger version of himself.

Get one, you'll never regret it!

i plan on taking him/her hiking with me every day. that's part of the reason i want to get a dog, to take hiking and scrambling in the mountains. a backcounty guide and friend of mine has one, and it seems to work out very well. the only thing is his dog is very quiet, yet everything i've read seems to indicate they are barkers...

they are very energetic
if you have the time go for it
you'll enjoy it

Tanker and I have the greatest Jack Russell ever! His name is Dobby. He is great, but you have to spend time with him. He hikes all over with us, he is little but when we hike 15km on Saturdays he does about 45km cuz he runs ahead and then he comes back. He loves to explore and he is super smart.

This is him in his badass car:

This is him ready to party:

And this: www.jamesandellisa.com is mine and Tanker's website that has a ton of photos of him but if you watch the video you will see how smart they can be!
OMG I think I am gushing about a dog... I swore I would not be one of those people LOL
