I think they got what they deserved in JD. Stoop to reality tv, and that is what happens.

I don't know. I guess I'll have to see them perform with JD but as of now, I am skeptic if they can still be as good as before.

I followed the show and to be honest I did'nt even know who INXS was before. Other than that like one song. I think the show really did a lot for them for publicity but the last new original they played SUCKED ASS !

I thought it was a great idea for a TV show. I wouldn't call it "stooping" what INXS did. I'm sure they were offered by the network, and they gladly accepted. You'd have to be crazy not too.

Aussie band. Uber hot lead singer. Catchy dance-ish tunes. "New Sensation", "Need You Tonight", "Devil Inside", etc. Exploded on MTV...87ish...with the release of the "Kick" album.

Their collective star started to slump. Hot lead singer, aka Michael Hutchence, started living a tabloid life after being named in the divorce of Bob Geoff. Collective star slumped further. Release of "Elegantly Wasted" circa 1996-ish. Hutchence found dead shortly after release in Aussie hotel room. Method of death was hanging by belt. He happened to be nude at the time, which lead to lots of speculation on whether he killed himself or if he was playing auto-asphixiation. Band minus charasmatic frontman equals further slump into oblivion until the reality show to find a replacement singer.

Yeah I agree. I thought the only reason JD wouldn't win was because he seems to be a bit of a nut case (maybe bi-polar?)..but he was heads above the rest in his singing ability.

However..the guys in INXS have seen their day..and frankly, that was back in the 80s..maybe into the early 90s. I think JD may tire of them whenever his contract is up.

Mark my words. They picked a poser and are gonna be just a cover band of their old songs. Marty the dude that took second is gonna be bigger than INXS was or will ever be. He's like a mix of David Bowie and Beck. Can't wait for that song he wrote "Trees" to go to #1 and INXS will be going how did that happen.

Ugh NO. Velvet Revolver is a brand new band silly. Guns and Roses still has Axl Rose, but nobody else lol. Let's be fair, shall we :P
