Judging by his entries, he was definitely bored of blogging from the beginning...

Since his blog is mainstream, maybe he should have just hired a dedicated writer from http://www.webmasterlabor.com for $450 a month. That's less than $3 per hour since the writer works 160 hours a month. He can have his blog writer write long interesting entries with link outs, blog comments, forums, etc etc
