Check out Eclipse. It's an open-source platform based on Java and has plugins available for just about every programming language out there.

I can tell by checking the screenshots it's not better than dreamweaver.

Ofcourse this is the thing for editing. Not for creating.

I'm use to EditPlus, been using it since forever.

Nothing beats PICO....screw you VI before you say it :pimp

Homesite is the only answer... (at least right now)
