So much for the FF is more secure than IE theory
Mozilla Web browsers are potentially more vulnerable to attack than Microsoft's Internet Explorer, according to a Symantec report.
According to the report, 25 vendor-confirmed vulnerabilities were disclosed for the Mozilla browsers during the first half of 2005, "the most of any browser studied," the report's authors stated. Eighteen of these flaws were classified as high severity. "During the same period, 13 vendor-confirmed vulnerabilities were disclosed for IE, eight of which were high severity," the report noted. |
PCs have so much automation already written into the core that they will never be safe no matter what software you use.

8-8 basicly ...
it's just least used |
ROFLMFAO !!!
Youre taking Symantec's word for that ?????? OMFG!! Symantec (Norton's) made millions off of creating the first computer viruses, and then selling corporate America the cure! What a fucking piece of shit this article is! Ask anybody who does computer repair for a living, and you will get the same answer -- unless they are trying to fuck you themselves -- that Norton's/Symantec is the Antichrist of computer protection! Bloated POS placebo software! |
Ya right hahahaha wonder how much microsoft paid them!!!

Nothing is secure... every program and script out there has vulnerabilities.
The question is, is it worth exploiting? If only 5% of the world uses one, and 95% uses the other.... which one is more worth exploiting? It doesn't matter which is which... the one more widely used will be the one more widely vulnerable. |
I run both because some sites don't work in FF and i've NEVER been infected by anything with FF. Whenever I use IE i always end up getting something. IE is like an easy chick...in a pinch you'll hit it but always end up catching something...

being open source, there will be patches for mozilla very quickly.
|
Yeah but I enjoy using it more

when the underlying operating system is as full of holes and security flaws as winders is the apps that run on top of it aren't going to be secure no matter who writes them.
