Cartoonists, how do you draw? (need help for an artist)

I have a friend, with a college degree in design and she is moving for a quiet live in Cuba. I want to help her out.

She is an artist (fashion designer) and I've seen her model drawings, they're amazing. I think she can help this industry by making anime/cartoon type of drawings and logos..

I'm assembling her video tutorials for photoshop, indesign, illustrator, scanning tutorials, windows XP tutorials etc..

Now the question is, the artists in this biz use what? Hand drawings then scan and vectorize them or they use tablets?

If someone can help me out here I'd appreciate it a lot.

Every artist does there toons/drawings different. I do all of mine in PS with a mouse and a paint brush. A lot of people would say that's crazy to do it that way but that's how I like to make my toons, some people draw it on paper and scan it. Some people use a tablet, its all in what your comfortable doing it in.

NP man. Just tell her to try drawing some stuff a few different ways and witch ever way is fastest and turns out the best is the way she should go with it.

I used to do my toons just like chronic avenger but found that I could keep my mouse just as steady as I could keep a pencil and cut the ink and scan process out of the picture all together and go right into color with an outline in one layer and then make all my colors in other layers.

If she is as talented as you say she is then she should adapt pretty fast.
