Use the magnetic lasso :thumbsup

Asiantreat 09-19-2005 07:22 PM

Well, you can magnify the part where you're going to lasso. That way, even when you make larger movements, when you view your picture in its actual size, it won't seem so...uhh...angular?

blow the image up to 300% and lasso that, it doesn't change the immage size

Doctor Dre 09-19-2005 07:36 PM

I personally like quick mask mode

LASSO! NO NO NO! Use the polygon lasso tool. zoom very close and just keep clicking along the edge you want to cut. Also to get rid of jaggies try layer>matte>defringe

Are you doing that for some mainstream project? That composition looks very weird...you wanna make sure that the images(heads) have the same contrast/sharpness,etc. (NEVER use stuff that is scanned in the way head #2, #3 and #4 are). the whole composition is 'off', because of this...and try doing something about the fonts...rethink the entire composition, you can't make a banner or header by just CUTTING people's heads off, putting them next to each other and slamming bigass text across them. think outside the box. Look at the last guy's(i don't follow football or any other sports on tv, so i have no idea who that dude is...:D) head, it's hanging in the air with no neck. I'd say hire a designer.

Everyone seems to have there own little technique.. I tend to spend a little more time on my cutouts. I believe that it gives it a little bit more to the pic if you make the image look like it belongs then some of the box heads I have seen with hair.
