I seen the aftermath of a dude shoot himself and his dog, seen some guy on a motorcycle get his head ran over by a truck

ThunderBalls 09-19-2005 07:15 PM

Last summer I was sitting on my back porch about 3 in the morning and some dude came flying up the street next to my house. He lost control and the car flipped at least 3 times in a corn field across the street. Called 911 and ran over there and he was no where to be found. I looked for him for at least 20 minutes and finally found him, he was dead and all mangled up. Some 19 year old kid.

KC and I were driving by a popular bar when I saw a bunch of people gathered outside. I thought it was a fight and told him to pull into the parking lot to rubber neck. I saw a car with its doors open and a body on the ground next to the passenger side. Our truck was instantly surrounded by cop cards like in the movies....they realized we werent who they were looking for and blipped their sirens for us to get out of the way. We pulled down the street and I rolled down the window and could see the girlfriend of the guy on the ground. She was screaming and crying "please let me see him again" etc. The cops tried to put her in a car and she fell to her knees and sobbed. I think it was the fucking saddest thing I have ever heard.

She was dancing with her boyfriend in the club and got into a dance off with another couple. WHen they left the guys got into a confrontation and one guy shot the other in the face. A few days ago there was a story in the paper that the girlfriend had died from an overdose/suicide and that she had been tortured by visions of her boyfriend getting shot and holding him while he died.

The most fucked up part about it was that people were there in minutes after it happened and were very callous, making jokes etc. Tons of them had police scanners and came to see a murder scene. The thing that surprised me most was that I was sort of ambivalent about seeing the body on the ground but I was really horrified hearing the pain in the girlfriends screams.

Yes. When I was in grad school, I lived in an apartment where a murder/suicide took place. A guy found that his girlfriend cheated on him and was pregnant. So he went to her place (one of the lower floors of my apartment), slashed her to death, then climbed to the top of the apartment and dove down splattering his blood all over the street. I had just gotten out of a review session from a coffee shop down the street when I saw the body, blood, and brains.... I came to the scene before the paramedics covered up the body. It will remain seared in my mind till I die. It is a powerful lesson on so many levels. I pray for the peace of his soul, his girlfriend and his unborn child.

Saw a guy shoot his estranged wife's boyfriend in broad daylight in Venice Beach CA.

Me and a kid watched the guy breath his last. I was the key witness at the trial.

1st pair of tits I saw was on a ol'lady on my block they were wheeling her out of her house(dead) They saw my friend and I and put the sheet over her.
Then I saw the after math of a suicide. I had a paper route when I was little. Delivering the Sunday paper I saw my customer in a field across from his house after he shot himself with a Shotgun. He even made plans to go fishing with his Grandkids that Sunday ( the widow told me) Wierd Shit

Ycaza 09-19-2005 08:31 PM

yes I have i busted down a door once to see my friends roommate dead on the bed with a gun in his hand and his brains on the wall. no lie.

Doc911 09-19-2005 08:37 PM

I've seen a few people killed. During Desert Storm several people were killed by terrorists in greece. My next door neighbor and his wife were blown up by a bomb that was left on their porch.

The hardest one I didn't get to see untill the burial. My Dad was shoot in the head and I just got the official police photos from the crime scene.

xNetworx 09-19-2005 08:40 PM

I killed a mugger. Does that count?

Actually, I just knocked him the fuck out and kicked him in the face a few times.

sniperwolf 09-19-2005 08:41 PM

I'm happy I have no experience of something like that at all

Thats rough man ...sorry to hear that

Juilan 09-19-2005 09:37 PM

Yep used to be my job taking photos of dead people. Was CSI Hardcore. The hard thing is not seeing them dead but afterwards by chance passing the place they died at and remembering what happened there- thaz chilling.

=^..^= 09-19-2005 10:11 PM

when i was a kid my dad and i found a dead body while bushwalking - soem guy who topped himself - the corpse was half eaten by devils and probably local dogs.

then i used to work in a hospital so it was a daily occurance for me to see ppl die

also one of my photographers worked partime as a mortician and i used to give him a hand doing "touch ups" with makeup and wax etc for open caskets.

NoWhErE 09-19-2005 10:12 PM

I used to do event coverage for the news. And I had the graveyard shift. My job would consist of listening to Police scanners and going to all the crime scenes I could find and film everything that happened.

I saw alot of people die in front of me. Saw alot of families lose everything they had to fires. Saw god knows how many people mangled up in car crashes... Shit, name it, I,ve seen it.

The worst was when I saw a 14 year old boy stabbed in the head cause bullies picked on him and his girlfriend at a Fair and he decided to defend her.

That and gang wars... kids running in the streets shooting themselves. Makes you realize just how stupid the general population is...

I was only 13 when he was murdered. it fucked me up for weeks. I stayed in my room drinking and smoking pot for days. My mother checked on me a few times to see if i was okay. I just sent her for more bacardi. we didn't really get along and i was only waiting for my uncle to show up so i could get out of there. its weird that it was over thirty years ago and I just got all the docs and pictures a few months ago. The texas rangers did not want to release them. they waited till the guy that did it died.

quantum-x 09-19-2005 11:27 PM

sitting at home working, large bang out the front of my house.
Grabbed a torched, scooted out, but couldn't get out the front gate, it was jammed shut.. jumped the fence to see a ute about 6' off the ground, literally, up a tree.
I could get to a window, got someone to call 000 when the next person came, and sat with these 2 people in the car until paramedics came, just trying to keep them awake.
Went home, washed the blood off my hands, and found out that the girl died on the way to the hospital. messed up.

PixeLs 09-20-2005 05:20 AM

Yes, back then in Highschool. A man was shot just outside our school minutes before I left, so I actually saw his dead body lying on the road.

Ace-wtf 09-20-2005 05:27 AM

this is some bad karma bro

folofolo 09-20-2005 05:53 AM

when i was seven a small airplane crashed just a few hundred feet away from me into a rockformation. the plane flew about 100 feet over mine, my mothers and my grandmothers head. both the pilots (that was everyone) died instantly. i had almost forgotten about it until i saw this thread.

junction 09-20-2005 05:55 AM

I am a former firefighter. I have seen just about every way a person can fuck themselves up.

C_U_Next_Tuesday 09-20-2005 06:37 AM

unfortunately I did not get to find the body of my ex when he shot himself.

I did have a guy jump off a building and land on the car then ground next to me when I was 19...we never found out if he lived or not.. freaked me out for a bit.
