I watched The Butterfly Effect this weekend. It was wierd in a good way:) Very addicting, I couldn't leave to go pick up the chinese food until it was over! LOL

Have you watched it? What are your thoughts? Like it? Love it? Hate it?

I thought it was good. Ashton really proved he can be a serious actor.

Was a very good movie ... I don't really like Ashtun but he was good in it.

It was a great movie! And no, I didn't think it was scary, a bit disturbing yes, scary no. One of my favorite movies for sure!

I think thats the best movie astun kucher has or ever will do.

It was a great movie - in my personal dvd collection. If you watch the DVD there is the theatrical version and the alternate ending version - the alternate ending is great - changes the whole arc of the movie - check it out!

Shit movie....didn't like it all....but for the ones who liked it.....Freeze Frame
is another movie based on a similar concept

great movie. you have to know it has two different endings. try to find both.

Without a doubt, one of the stupidest fucking movies ever made!

You probably don't understand why it is a good movie. It's probably related to intelligence.

Alternate ending was much better but I won't spoil it here. Very Dark. This movie gets better each time you watch it - you'll notice subtle things that you may have missed and realize each scene is planned perfectly - the movies dovetails beautifully.

one bit of trivia:

In original script, Ashton's character was named:
"Chris Treborn"
later his name was changed to:
"Evan Treborn" - much more fitting for this movie.
just move the "T" over to the left.

I loved it... and I'm not usually able to sit through a whole movie before I have to get up and do something else. I actually sat there and watched both versions back to back. When it came on this weekend I sat down and watched it again and recorded it on DVR.

btw, the movie has grossed nearly $100,000,000 worldwide. For a movie that cost around $30M to produce & market, that's amazing. Plus the film did well with DVD sales & On-Demand and a sequel is coming out. - a lot of hardcore fans didn't even know that. :)

not starring Ashton, but another person with the same powers. perhaps a prequel or sideline/timeline. :winkwink: if you watched the director's cut you'll see they left plenty of room for a storyline.

I rather enjoyed it... saw lots of ways it could have been even better, but all in all, it was a pretty good movie.
