Amsterdam WA feedback - thanks to all

Generally a good convention - business is getting done.
Actually a lot more than in Vegas - people has time, and doesn't have to rush on to meet an other guy a half kilometer away.

The convention place was good.
Though, Poul Markham said he missed a central meeting point for the webmasters and I agree with him.
Yes the Lobby was used for it, but we would have liked a dedicated room as a central constant networking / meeting room where you could be sure there would be some people if nothing major was going on elsewhere.

The rest of the convention was great - and thanks to all the sponsors for making it all happen.

To all the people I met, nice meeting you, let's talk again soon.
For all the new business partners, let's get it rolling :-)

What do you think of the convention?

Thomas I couldn't agree more, fantastic show, sure some structure and comm's problems but nothing insurmountable.

Convention was pretty good allthough some of the seminars sucked big time.

Was nice meeting some new people, having a drink and do some good networking

Overall, pretty good it just wasn't worth to buy the pass imo ;)))

First convention I whent to, but based on people I talked to definately better than the bigger, and more "show" based conventions :2 cents:

convention was pretty good met some New people and made Good business.

Some seminers were pretty interesting and the parties were great.

Cman 09-20-2005 04:23 AM

The show was pretty good and the parties were really fun.

I do agree it could have been more centralized and more organized though. Spent a lot of time looking for people and stuff.

I didn't go to this show, but I think Lens and Eric do a great job with these webmaster access shows. I got 5x more business done at WA Montreal then in Florida at Internext.
I can see what some people are saying about the lack of a central meeting place for the event. In my experience this ends up being the hotel bar. Maybe for the next show they should formalize that. But other then that I think they have it right. If you have the chance to catch one of these events I highly suggest that you do it.

I agree the central spot ends up being the hotel's bar - in Amsterdam the problem was just that the hotel's bar only was open half of the evening or something like that.

I've just worked out who you are Tricky007! It was good to meet you :thumbsup

Gals4free 09-21-2005 01:54 PM

Good meeting you Thomas, and yes agree on the central meeting point. At some points when nothing mayor was going on i found myself run back and forth, between the hotel, seminar room or the lobby.

Ace-wtf 09-21-2005 01:56 PM

next they should do it at a designated coffee shop :winkwink:
