I need help getting rid of a stray cat
So on Friday morning I opened the door and called for one of my cats which I let outside and this stray cat came running right inside of my house. I figure he had to belong to someone since he was so friendly so I took him in for the weekend and put signs up saying I found a cat. No calls. So last night I put the cat back outside and now he is hanging around the front of my house and wont leave.
What should I do? |

I'm going thru the same process at the moment. Its a tough to find homes for kittens at the moment as there's just so many around at this time of year.
PAWS - will not euthanize healthy, adoptable animals. http://www.hsus.org/ http://www.craigslist.org/ |
Wait for him to crawl into the fan of your car and hit the remote start button.
|
you will need some antifreeze and a chest high freezer

If you dont wanna keep him, wait until someone calls and if they dont call animal control
|
For reference I suggest you watch the animated film The Cat Came Back, released by the NFB of Canada in 1988.

Try sticking it up your ass

Keep him. He found you, not the other way around. :)

call your local animal rescue. They will find it a home.

A friend of mines got rid of a cat by doing the following:
He went over to a neighbors house (without the cat) and put a dish with tuna fish on their door step. Later, he dropped off the cat at the neighbors door step. I guess the trick would be to not let the cat notice you with the food, or the neighbor dropping off the goods. |
Find a local farm... especially a dairy farm, they often take cats to help keep the mice out of the feed. Mouse feces makes cows sick. And there is lots of milk.
