Benadryl = Knocks you out for Hours........
 

I was petting dogs last night and I am somewhat allergic to em , my neck started itching , on way home i pick up Benadryl popped one at like at 230 am went to sleep didnt wake up till 5 pm :(

oh yeah that shit will knock you out like a mother.

i took em before , didnt realize it was that strong

that shit is the knock out punch yo for sure

I take it almost everyday during the summer. Your body adjusts and it just gives you a buzz... Not saying it's a good thing but during allergy season it is the only thing that really works for my sinus headaches.

It's great for when you want to sleep on a long flight.. :2 cents:

For some reason, Benadryl doesn't have that effect on me. It makes me drowsy but if I take with a sleeping aid (Lunesta or Ambien) I will wake up in a few hours instead of sleeping 6-7 with the sleeping aid and no Benadryl. Which sucks because it does help me with my allergies.

Guess what Benadryl and Tylenol PM have in common - they both contain 25mg of Diphenhydramine hydrochloride, which is both an antihistamine AND a sleep agent.

So every time you take a Benadryl pill you are effectively taking a sleeping pill...

Wow, I'll try to remember that next time I get insomia...I hear xanax helps too...lol If you can get your doctor to prescribe it to you (Impossible here in Canada) :disgust

Hehe yea thats what I use to goto sleep, if you look at over the counter sleeping aid you will see the same Ing. as Benadryl has and it cost more then benadryl lol I take 3 an hour before I want to goto sleep. I'm way down compared to this time last year lol

if you havn't taken one in more than a week, the first one you take when you do it again will have trhat effect.

Yeah..I have told people about this before.

No reason to even get benadryl..go to wal-mart and get their version same shit 1/2 the price.

i get migraines all the time & i have Excedrin in the house but if i get them at night, i dont want to take a reg. pill cuz it has caffiene in it so i bought the PM and gawd DAYUM does that shit knock my ass out :1orglaugh

Isn't that Benadryl is a medicine for coughs only.

OMG I think thats the drug I just need to have longer sleep. I'll check if we have that here at home.

I just take a Vicodin before bed.. And I sleep like a baby.

Benadryl has never knocked me out, nor has Dramamine. :( However, it works great for my allergies, so I don't complain. :)
