What windows program do you use to make tar.gz
 

I'm using PowerZip however with larger files (2-3 gig) it is crashing and corrupting the file structure on my hard drive.

I've had to run CHDSK a few times this weekend. it's getting old.

You can get the tar / gzip binaries for windows. Ofcourse they'd be teh same for linux, meaning command line. Just compiled for windows!
