What do you think of neck tattoo's or exposed tattoo's ?

Ok just got 2 pieces done on my neck one on each side. Some people think I am a freak some others really like it.

Although I DON'T give a fuck about others opinion on what I do with my body...

D'like to hear what you GFY bitches think.

I think this is going to be one of my coolest art work and suprisingly was nmot painfull at all (maybe I should wait to get the coloring done before I say that :upsidedow )

Trixie Racer 09-18-2005 10:14 AM

Depends. I would assume by your handle that you are male. If this is correct, all the more power to you. For women, though, tattoos are not feminine. :2 cents:

Andy,

the 2 artists I see work from the same place. It's not a walk in shop. By appointment only.

http://www.bobbyfive.com Rob and Dave are by far the craziest when it comes to bright colors. Rob is working on a Full back piece and the Beta fishs are my first work with Dave. But I saw some of Dave's work and I think i will be really happy.

Personally, I'm very tattoo friendly and on lots of men exposed tats are very hot. I've seen some on girls that are yummy too. :)

I love Tattoo's on a women. My ex had a full back and one half sleave and few others.

To me my tattoo's all mean something. I meet with the artist, befriend them and let them use my body as a canvas. In some sort of way I consider myself a Art Collector with a collection I will never part myself of.

Pete-KT 09-18-2005 11:01 AM

Ive got three pieces that can be seen depending on what im wearing, i dont mind pieces showing as long as they look good, let us see yours once there done

That is some cool work Andy, very nice lining i love it :thumbsup

Well we discussed the colors but like I say I am only the canvas and I let my artist do as he feel. The only thing I decide about a tattoo is the idea. But since I ain't an artist I have to let it all up to him.

We decided that we will have Vivid colors, possibly red and blue. I was thinking of orange but there's a lot of orange coy fish out there and I don't want people to mix these Beta fish for coy fish.

if people understood the economic consequences of visible tattoos they would not get them.

job opportunities lost. social status lessened. marriage candidate pool lessened, which effects social mobility and quality of offspring.

but this is the microcosm of humanity called GFY---far removed from conventional wisdom.

in another popular thread today kids are opining on the benefits of cocaine use.

but don't listen to me. listen to the world.

if you want to find out what the world thinks about visible tattoos go do 10 job interviews for $100k/year positions and see how well you do.

ROFLMAO All i can say is... If you are a person that juges the book buy it's cover then I would not want to work with you anyways, I have no time for close minded people that will miss on HUGE opportunnity because of fucking conformity... What is conformity nowadays anyways???

I work with all kinds of people and have had a tattoo in the palm of my hand for quite sometime and it never bother me. Guess it all depends on who you surround yourself with in your world and if you want to live in this world for you or for the others. I prefer living it for me

But Hey anyone is entitled to there own opinion. I just find it sad that our world is still sooo narrow minded. :upsidedow

what you have to realize is that not everyone has to worry about getting a job ... some of us own our companies and do very well .. that gives us the freedom to do what we like. I already have a great wife and two kids .. my only concern is when i meet people at my sons school and what there first thought is ... but i figure if i can afford the neighborhood i live in then they should know that I'm already doing OK ... If i ever feel that is an issue then I'll send them over to private school .. i don't think they will judge to much after i write a check ... I feel bad for people that have to conform to flock of sheep in shirt and tie ....

Thats so funny that you say that, I feel exactly the same way. I was thinking today about how my new tat makes me feel the same way as when I add a peice to my home art collection.

JMan, you are one sexy man and this only adds to your own personality. I know you can handle anyone that ever says anything about your art collection.

I like them and can't wait to see them when they are finished.

:1orglaugh youre definitly over 40 and come off resentful -

youre social comments come off as ignorant, isolated and are unfounded, only supported by your conservative, biased opinion thats been driven into your psyche by your parents, on what constitutes correct social standing, education and partnering.

very sad.

as for your economic comments they are somewhat valid - sure a person with a neck tattoo isnt going to be a candidate.

But that doesnt mean a person with a visable tattoo cant get a 100k job or beyond.

long sleeve shirts work fine in the workplace and have for yrs.

i speak from experience - and im fully sleeved. Tattoos didnt hurt my corporate standing then and it certainly doesnt hurt my economic standing now whatsoever.

Sosa 09-18-2005 01:20 PM

small tats are ok, neck I don't like. And I don't like big tats on females at all unless they are small and like on the ankle.

pradaboy 09-18-2005 01:38 PM

Jman, I sent you an e-mail a few days ago, did you get it?

bdld 09-18-2005 01:54 PM

tats are so trashy.

FrankWhite 09-18-2005 01:55 PM

why all of you have a fish as a tattoo ? all of your fisherman's ?

J-$ 09-18-2005 01:58 PM

anyfuckinways wait til em baby boomers die
there'll be no one left on this planet but people with tatoos take a look at kids these days...15 year olds walk around with neck tatoos

latinasojourn you should get 2 guns up tatooed on your forehead, thatll loosen you up :thumbsup

my view is a narrow opinion related to tattoos vis-a-vis business. how i personally feel about the aesthetics of tatts are not relevant to this argument.

most people getting tattoos are not entrepreneurs. many are very educated people, many college grads, some with advanced degrees.

and because they love the subculture of visiable tatts they are driving cabs or scooping ice cream at haagen-daaz instead of having employment commensurate with their education.

that is my point. the ECONOMIC consequences of visiable tatts.

khs 09-18-2005 02:01 PM

you have a fish on your neck?

J-$ 09-18-2005 02:06 PM

wtf tats are trashy, that always makes me laff
how is it more offensive than the design itself? i mean if its a skull with rape little children written all over it you can start judging and say "hey that ecuties.com guy is so trashy!" but a fish. how is a fish trashy.

i believe tats are for 2 kinds of people... people with deep beliefs, principles, and also influencable people (i dont know if its an english word but you know what im saying here)

i also believe the government should give me a license to kill and an ares-12 shotgun and let me clean up the gene pool. i dont see where stuck up people like that fit in i mean we just dont need em. or may be we need em as a comparison to how good we are

anyways congrats on the tats
(yeh i like how that sounds lolll)

Mr Pheer 09-18-2005 02:22 PM

My opinion:
Tats used to be cool when they were a 'rebelous' thing to do.

But now its the 'trendy' thing, so I dont care for them.

Yes I'm fucking antisocial.

men with tattoos: no opinion in general, depends on the art work.
women with tattoos: i hate it.

J I already have two on my neck
mine arent little fishies tho
:)

CherryLipsRosa 09-18-2005 03:22 PM

I have 3 tattoos
1- a tulip on my ankle
2- a seahorse on my back
3- a sexy fairy on a swing right at the back of my neck!

I think tattoos are really nice if well placed and well done.

CybermedAndy 09-18-2005 03:33 PM

To the people asking about the "fish" tattoos, they are Japanese Koi fish, they stand for luck and good fortune.

iamkathi 09-18-2005 04:04 PM

I personally have 2. The first one was 16 years ago, before they became the latest trend. It is not visable. The second one is on my right shoulder, a small, colorful tree frog and is only visable when I am in a sleeveless shirt...which isn't often. I got this one 5-6 years ago.

Mine are meaningful to me and only me... Ask me about them sometime and I'll explain them and why I have the ones I do. They are a shock to those who see them for the first time. I don't seem to be the "type" for a tattoo.

JMan... go for it baby... and remember to let us see them when you finish these latest ones.
