                                                                          I'm assuming that you have some inkling about copyright law, and yet you would expose yourself, and more importantly, anyone purchasing your content to a copyright infringement lawsuit?

                                                                                                  when we shot for hustler videos and magazines, they would always have books and magazines on the tables and shit, and I have asked them about it....there is some law about it all, but basically they told me it was allowed and not to worry about it

                                                                                                  ask your lawyers, he will tell you the same thing....otherwise there would be lawsuits left and right, cause I just opened an issue of Club Magazine, and there is a Coke sitting on the table..

                                                                                                              using/showing a product in a movie, pictures ect isnt illegal

                                                                                                              most tv shows or mags block product names out and not because of copyrights - because theyre in the business of selling ads and not giving away free advertising.

                                                                                                              - promotion of a product using another product without license/permission of said company is illegal - if alien had that pic with the rice book on a boxcover or a mag shit even on the net, he would be open to a C&D
