Digital Cameras & Video Cameras...Gimme Recommendations
I'm not looking for high end take over the world stuff just stuff a family would use.
I'm so sick of visiting stores and finding shit worse than the old film cameras. I bought a portable digital camera and the resolution looked like something out of the 1400s. I don't have the time to go through god awful amounts of promotional bullshit that the companies shovel out. I want the specs and I can roll from there. Yet nothing compares to tested testimonial from buyers and users. Consumer satisfaction is now the high point standard. |
look at the small panasonic 3 ccd camcorders around 500 bucks

what's your budget?

As for digital cameras I just picked up the Cannon Rebel XT
Its about 900 bucks .. Well worth it , 8mega pixel. Might be a bit over what your looking for though. |
Go with the Canon 20D. It takes great photos.

Point, Easy, Shoot, Fast - Sony DSC-P200

Sony DCR-DVD405 is the one I have and it's excellent! It also takes digital still photos.

I've bought me a JVC GRD340 few weeks ago. It is a fantastic cam with very good video quality and lots of very useful options.

We use a Canon 20D and LOVE it. For video we have the PSGV-250 or something like that. Its the 3CCD Panasonic. It does really well for what we do, and its cheap.

Great suggestion. The 20D is overkill for his needs. I shoot with a 20D and a 5D. I would never personally shoot content with a Rebel of any kind but for family stuff.....It's a very good option if you want something that can compare to a 35mm. :2 cents: |
