I acquired over 1500 romance novels
What would be a creative way to make money off of them.
(My aunt had boxes upon boxes of romance novels and she was going to throw them out, so I took them) |
half.com the probably best bet.

All you need now is a cup of tea and you're officially a woman :1orglaugh

Ya mean "actual" romance novels?? Mmmm.. dump em on some unsuspecting local store that might sell em over five years. Years ago I used to buy bulk parcels of alledged "sex novels" (new) from publishers and folks who got stuck with em, but they were the same pulp junk which cost anything from 5 to 20 cents each and traded on in smaller parcels at double the cost. These were books for trading - sure ain't cos of their literary value or massive profit potential! :1orglaugh |
ebay them off................several lots!
|
dude your still alive :) hit me up in email or ICQ :)

However, there are stores that specialize in them...that's the good news. The bad? A lot do 3 for 2 trades...bring in 3 used, take 2 home. Their buyback cash value is minimal...if they're in great condition - and by great I mean spines aren't broken (meaning heavily creased) I might throw some up on eBay or Half as a test...like a 3 book bundle maybe. Lots of work for not a lot of $$$ :2 cents: |
read and study them and become a romance writer. boom biggest way to cash in on that.
|
turn gay and you'd have a lot of reading material
|
I'll give ya $50 for them.

I know it sounds like a big chore but go through the books and seperate by author. Believe it or not, specific romance writers have almost a cult following among men and women. You might also want to seperate the books by genre (ie, gothic romance, historical romance) since they also have their fans. Sell them on an auction site grouped by author's name or by the genre.
If you have any Dark Shadows novels by Marilyn Ross, then contact me (aka Jamdin @ 278-176-986). They are gothic romance but based on the popular tv soap opera from the 1960's and 1960's. |
