Pennywize is good stuff... also check out strongbox

I prefer strongbox...

Pennywize works fine. I use Strongbox on another site and also like it. If I was to pick I would go with Strongbox.

neither, go with www.proxypass.com

yes we had problems with pennywize and we use proxypass. has been performing great for us and terry's support is great.

I ditched pennywise for proxypass and my bandwidth bill is now half.

Ditched Pennywize years ago. There is much better stuff out there including ProxyPass, Strongbox and the new NATS one looks good too.

Strongbox is good but a bit of a question mark over support. We currently use it on one site but they dropped off the cliff when waiting for them to get back to us about a second more complicated set up.

Strongbox rocks... I have no complaints about it at all :thumbsup

very happy with proxy pass.

it's taxes your cpu, be prepared for a slower server.

Some hosts have this type of protection built in to your server and hosting with no cpu issues.

pennywise cost to much as they rebill - strongbox is a one time fee.

Might want to check out Strongbox too. :2 cents:

stronbox or proxypass. Strongbox is cheap, effective but slow support. For $100 one time fee, do you expect much more?

Proxy pass is $50/mo but if you have 10 sites on one server its still a good buy.

We use strongbox, works well!
