Buying plasma, some help please!
 

This week I'm gonna buy me a Plasma, does any own the Pioneer PDP-50XDE
? All the suites keep telling me that it the bomb and the best Plasma out there.....

consumer reports man, go with that. personally i dont like my plasma as much as my dlp, but i dont watch tv. i only watch movies that i rent on them.

Well I bought the Pioneer Elite PRO-920HD 43-INCH HDTV, and it's a little noisey & dammit I see fringing at times. Really love the deep black level of the Panasonic's and am thinking of picking up one of the 7th generation models. The Panasonic TH-50PHD7UY looks stellar and has great reviews. I think thats the one I got, dunno the model number. Its a 51" pioneer, best one Ive seen, had it about a year not a single problem with it at all.

The higdef is flipping AMAZING.

I can get a plasma 42 inch for $1200 here in La :thumbsup

Too small in my opinion though, I think a 50 or bigger is needed.

LCD is better but will take about 3 years to come down in price.

screw the plasma's get a DLP

I'm looking at a New DLP to replace my old Sony. Fuck Plasma, seriously.

how much was it? and how big is the screen size?

don't like the LCD's you can see motion artifacts during motion scenes & sports. The DLP is an interesting technology but never seen a deeper black level than the Panasonic plasmas...

I have a Pioneer 43" Viera in my bedroom. No complaints, it's a great system.

I think I still stick to the "Pioneer PDP-50XDE"...and Reed please let me know, what you thought of your brothers plasma....The blood thing still keeps making me laugh ;)
