i used to be a DJ in college - these days the technology is changing so fast - we shot a porn in s trip club recently and they had the whole library on PC - used numark software to run the whole thing - I was pretty impressed with that but this looks amazing - you could really put on a show with this configuration - I also saw some really trick dvd player/mixer set up recently at a AV rental place that had all kinds of cool FX for video live for the dance floor - $3500 each - too much on all levels

I never even touch that side of dj'ing, to me that is just playing songs, not djing

djing is an artform, and blending two songs together seamlessly takes so much more talent than loading up some software and hitting play

haha, no idea...hasn't been released yet, coming in a month or two...knowing this company, i am sure it will be upwards of $2000...their basic dj mixer costs $800 or so

I've been DJing since I was 15 and I've since moved onto instruments and writing music. While it does take an ear and knowledge to mix records, but when people talk about 'massively talented' when referring to a DJ's skills it just doesn't register with me anymore. With all the talent I look up to and muscians and songwriters I admire, my favorite DJ's have become a tiny blip on the radar.

That xone looks cool, but I think the Xone:92 gets the job done for my type of shit. Better even is a Rane Rotary, or even the Vestax V6 rotary.

seeric 09-17-2005 12:12 AM

i am horny

Contact [email protected] and tell him Kevin said to contact you. He manages the board and would know that info.

yeah, but I have been eager to use Traktor in a live show for quite some time, but can't seem to bring myself to do it without some sort of external controller, which is what this is

it really is a huge innovation, and I hope more companies step up and expand on this and a few other ideas that can come out of this
