    Nintendo shows 'Revolutionary' console controller

    Games console developers devote as much time to the launching of the controllers their machines will be played with as the game-hosting hardware itself. The latest company to do so is Nintendo. Today it told the world what the gamepad that will ship with its Revolution console will look like.

          Nintedo have NO CLUE. look at that thing, its got WIRES! Are they mad? that is the worst looking controller i've seen ever. Not surprised Nintendo were the ones to bring it out.

          That said Nintendo is only for 10 year olds who like Mario bros anys.

                                              Sadly it is real. They posted the official shit over at gamespot.com. Nintendo has lost their minds. The only thing that is going to be practical for is when you turn it on its side, it will emulate the original NES controller nicely.

                                                      I'm not a huge gamer, but I watched the preview video for it at IGN.com and read the reviews of it. It actually looks pretty cool if all the speculation about it is correct.

                                                      Seems like using such a controller would immerse the person so much more into the game than the regular controllers out there now, as it is motion sensitive - two sensors on each side of the TV track range, depth, speed, etc. of the pointing device while the thumb-stick controls other movement / actions.

                                                              THAT is badass. Controllers have to evolve - remember when there were no shoulder buttons, no triggers, no dual analog controls, etc... If this thing can offer analog control by the movement of the controller in space.. that is nuts.. think about a fighting game... you would actually 'punch' the controller to throw a punch or a kick.. it would offer true 3D movement as opposed to the simulated 3D on an Xbox controller with the dual analog controls

                                                                                                      I think what people are missing is that the right controller is primarily a motion device. Such as swinging your arm will swing the arm of the character in the game.

                                                                                                      Again, I'm not a huge gamer, but the reviews and demo videos look pretty good for a different, more involved gaming experience.

You guys are thinking inside the box, this controller is not for current games, this will be for NEW games designed JUST for this controler... Imagine a sword fighter game that emphasized technique rather then button mashing... You would have to swing the sword a certain way to get a power slash, etc... or all the applications they showed in the video. They are not far off from making a devide you attach to your clothes or wear that would control your movement.
