I surfed in 12 to 15 foot faces (soe called 20 foot faces that day).

I got one incredible ride. I also went down in one of them. I remember thinking I was going to die.

I can't imagine going down in one of those big waves. It would have to be a nightmare.

teahupoo is one of the heaviest waves on the planet.I have some surf videos with footage of wipeouts there were I was pretty sure the surfer died.They all come out in the end after bit getting pounded on by the waves.Pretty scary stuff.
