i just took the first step to get incorporated
 

yup yup, finally. its going to be a NY based LLC. after listening to everyones advice over the last few months i have decided that this is the best option for me.

now who has some tips for me.

An LLC can be filed from home in one day. They sell the kits at office depot for like $30.

i thought about it but then i went to my accountant and let him do the work for me. he's a family friend. so i didnt mind giving him a few extra bucks to do it right. knowing myself i would've fucked up the littlest thing somewhere if i did it myself

get a job!

I use www.bizfilings.com and then have my accountant just file the incorporation docs. I have done 4 S corps this way and never had a problem.

Great service and if you pay with AMEX its like another 20% off.
