    importing old emails from outlook

    built a new pc, got my emails on my old HD, where can i import all of it into my new outlook? your help is greatly appreciated.

    C:\Documents and Settings\***USERNAME***\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

    Move over the .pst file to the new pc... i think that's it... just had to go through this a few weeks back, hit me up on icq if this doesn't do it and i'll try to remember if there was something else...

    P.S. this is Oleg btw....

      Always good to keep a backup of the .pst file. Sometimes they can get corrupted.

              Had the same problem some time ago when I had to rebuild a PC. Luckily I could recover addy book, and all e-mails from back up on HD. Fairly simple, and one of the gents above provided you all the info. Takes a few minutes, and tada.

                    Outlook -> File -> Data File Management -> Add

                    This allows you to have multiple .pst files if necessary.

                    It's also wise to make regular backups of your .pst files. Microsoft has an app just for this and it works rather nicely... http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
