My 2nd Biggest Blunder (ever)

Hello all,

Recently in auditing our hosted galleries I came across some that I could not get my hands on the docs from the content publishers. Since right now we have exactly ZERO images in our member areas (we are using a bunch of image gallery plugins from various providers).

I kind of freaked out in a panic stricken way and renamed the galleries that had content we would not be able to get IDs from the publishers / vendors.

That would have taken surfers to a regular ole 404 page except for the fact that I changed the .htaccess some time ago to take 404s to AFF. (I was sending several domains to various programs on the 404s when June 23rd rolled around because I had sites so old that the content providers were selling production stills and wouldn't be able to provide IDs for any of that, so rather than fix the sites with new content, I deleted them) I deleted 1000s of sites, many of the AVS sites. I had some of those sites on the hosted gallery domain.

An extremely stupid error on my part and I will think of a way to fully compensate those that were sending traffic to my panic mode fuck up.

I couldn't steal from someone and sleep right, so please accept this as a formal apology.

I'm working on the hosted galleries with new content to get them all back working again this week.

Geeze I feel like a newbie.

I'm very embarrassed, and very sorry.

I will be bumping percentages up to the maximum allowable by paycom and ccbill for those that were sending traffic to my fuck up.

Once again, I apologize.

Now, I'm going back to my cave. Adios.

worth a bump I guess

Guess I'd still like to know why this was not discovered before? Seems it was not known untill brought to the boards. Why support did not answer those that brought this problem to their attention days ago? Or not answered days ago on the PMB message board?

Shit happens, it has happened to all of us, but fessing up days later sure does'nt help the cause. And sorry, hard to see you making newbie mistakes.

I understand mistakes happen but I would have to agree with ronnie on this one. You took way too long to respond. To me time is money. Just makes me wonder if I never posted on the GFY how long it would of taken before you would of realized the mistake. Kinda hard for me to swallow. Times are rough for everyone in this business right now and I for one really don't wanna spend time taking sponsor stuff down but we will and have no problem doing so. I would rather spend time promoting and building than trying to keep an eye on my sponsors to make sure things are working correctly on their end. PMB used to be top notch program back in the day but the last couple years it has gone downhill. Hopefully in the future Bill you will pay more attention to your program. That's all I got to say about this.

Gary
