Is there anyway to COMPLETELY REMOVE IE from your PC running Windows?
Or did Bill make this task impossible?
|
I think its intergrated into windows
|
why what exactly are you having probs with?
i had the same feeling on my comp but was able to clean it out. as far as i know IE is integrated into xp 100%. |
windows uses it to install updates. i want it gone too. but i was advised to leave it.
|
yes, most versions of XP have IE. some countries required MS to remove it from the OS as a condition for releasing it into their country.
not sure, but i think england was one of them. |
you need I to show your desktop.......there is no way to completey remove it. you also need it for some windows updates etc. Just make FireFox your default browser and you forget you ever used IE...
|
Not unless you're running Windows 95.

Just delete all your shortcuts and use firefox as your default browser. Pretend like I do that it doesn't exist.

Juicy,
I use a program called XPLite and it has an option to uninstall IE. I have never tried this functionality myself though, but i managed to uninstall some other annoying things from my Windows. And yes, the URL is www.litepc.com |
