Federal Judge says Pledge in school is unconstitutional!
 

Breaking News, Judge is about to hand down a ruling that the pledge will not be allowed in school. Here we go again! :helpme

I remember when I was a little kid being told we could say "under God" or not, our choice.
The funny thing is that "under god" was added by the government, lol.

when i came to the states to study people got pissed at me for not getting up and saying the pledge along with them

Yep - it was added in 1954 during the commy hearings and fervor that accompanied that

Unfortunately back then it was also allowed to force not only the kids - but the teachers to say the pledge - and one state even fined their teachers if they didnt say it - it went to the supreme court and they said it was ok to fine the teachers - then they reversed after a few years and said that they cant "force" people to say it.
When this case theyre talking about now came to the supreme court back I think in 2002 - the Supreme Court said it was ok to say that in the pledge and threw out the case

The court ruled the plaintiff in the case had no right to bring suit on behalf of a non-custodial minor and threw the case out. They made little or no comment on the merits of the case.

The same plaintiff has now filed on behalf of other parents and their custodial minors...

i stopped saying the pledge in beginning of 8th grade when i finally started to think about what i was saying.

what's crazy about him? i think it's crazy to force children to make a pledge to god every day that they don't even understand.
