TheGoldenChild 09-14-2005 08:52 AM

I spent a weekend there during the famous car show they have at Pebble Beach-
I was shacked up in a cottage there and boned my brains out for three days-

The sound of sea lions barking off in the distance made my girl hot.
LOL

TheSenator 09-14-2005 09:07 AM

Sunset Beach in Cape May, NJ

The Concours D'Elegance is a great car show. I have quite a few pics from the show just a few weeks ago. I guess I'll upload them and share. Amazing display of cars as it is every year.

Izz if you are coming to Carmel soon pack sweaters and coats. Last few days have been in the 50s and 60s and I doubt we'll see 70 degrees much more this year. Hell we don't see 70 degrees too often at all but then we rarely get much cooler than 50s or 60s.

Depending on what you want to pay per night I'd recomend these hotels:
Expensive: The Lodge at Pebble Beach, Inn at Spanish Bay and Bernardus Lodge (Carmel Valley).
Nice but not too $$$: L'Auberge Carmel, Hotel Pacific (Monterey), Portola Inn (Monterey)
More romantic would be a bed and breakfast which there are literally hundreds of.

Other than NYC...

Boston is a great town.

I'd say Compton, Los Angeles. A day of dodging bullets and unwanted sexual advances can be a very bonding experience for a young happily married couple.

make sure you take Option A and get the rental car that is a convertible. :thumbsup

figueroa is a good street to start on.

:thumbsup :thumbsup

should only cost you about

600 DOllars!!!!!!!!

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Dollarmansteve 09-14-2005 09:43 AM

Trenton, NJ

Gunni 09-14-2005 09:46 AM

perhaps san francisco

Sosa 09-14-2005 09:49 AM

anywhere in Nebraska! ok I'm kidding

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 09-14-2005 10:54 AM

San Francisco is an excellent romantic city to visit. See the beautiful historic sites in the City, and then travel out to or stay in some of the wonderful surrounding cities (Sausalito, Napa, Carmel, Monterey, etc). You won't regret it.

There is so much to see and do here, no matter what your interests are.

san diego.
There's plenty of beaches, and nice restaurants. Just a nice atomosphere overall.

Holly 09-14-2005 11:08 AM

Charleston, SC
Savannah, GA
NOLA used to be a good one
Poconos (the champaign glass hot tub, lol)
Martha's Vineyard or somewhere near the Cape
Gatlinburg, TN
Lake Tahoe

XPays 09-14-2005 11:18 AM

(fact: lol) the napa valley region is the most romantic place in the united states.

dirtydesignz 09-14-2005 11:20 AM

Loryn 09-14-2005 11:40 AM

I say Carmel By the Sea in Ca or Napa Valley in Ca.

The Keys in Florida or great too! :thumbsup

There are so many!

pimpin 09-14-2005 11:51 AM

face it America is not very romantic.
We destroy our history every day tearing down the old buildings in cities to build malls or a new walmart, gap or starbucks. Some of the most romantic cities in the world are the ones with centuries of history . . . we just don't have that.

Cyndalie 09-14-2005 11:58 AM

Romantic? Islamorada or the Florida Keys. St. Augustine I'm considering for the next Anniversary.

Well considering most of those old cities were built before the US was a country and most of the "old" buildings being torn down here were built in the 50's... no shit.

Rinaldo 09-14-2005 12:02 PM

I always liked to jsut go someplace quiet with a beach, so it really won't matter
Like a bed and breakfast, and promise to turn off my cell phone and not use a computer, so she gets all my attention.
It depends entirely on what you wanted to do, or see.

So give us ideas of what you'd like to do

wildgirl 09-14-2005 01:56 PM

I would say San Diego, it's a nice place and there's a lot of beaches there :)
