Taxes in the biz???
Howdy folks,
I am looking at getting into the promoting end of this buisness. Running a TGP mainly. I was wondering though, say you sign up for ccbill lets say. Do these payment processing companies send you 1099 forms at the appropriate time? I would think they would considering thats where you get paid from. I dont know though. Any advice appreciated. |

CCBill will NOT send you a 1099. Many other programs that cut their own checks will, however. Just make sure you report everything though, because you will be under a watchful eye. :)

1099 is for contract work. you need to hire an accountant
|
although the check is being issued from CCbill, they are only an intermediary. the money is actually coming from the sponsor and they are responsible for sending you a 1099

Does every sponsor operate like this? |
some will send you a form, others wont, you still have to report it all so keep your own records
|
yeah definitely go see an accountant.
|
Get an accountant for sure. Make sure to claim all the income, and keep good track of deductions that you can use. Also, if you are making a good amount look into a corporation.
|
fuck an accountant. just keep track of how much you make it's not brain surgery...
|
Doesnt matter. You keep track of what you earn, you report it, you take your own damn responsibility for your business and not rely on others to mail you a paper slip once a year.
