I'm looking for someone to start and run an affiliate program for a mainstreamish project I'm involved in. Compensation would be based on total affilaite performance (e.g. you get paid for each signup generated by the affiliates). isn't that called a "webmaster referral program"?

so what you're looking for is your first affilate, so he can refer other affilates, and get what every other program is offering as well, a webmaster referal?

Yes and no... we have plenty of affiliates now, but they stink... no traffic, no signups. We want to wipe the slate clean and let someone who's good at building an affiliate program take it over, for a nice cut.

said for every 1000 affilates 10 will send "some" traffic and 1 may start converting.

for mainstream no one does cpa its all cpm. I was in the mainstream affiliate business before I came to adult

I think most mainstream programs are CPA, maybe the niche you were in was CPM...
