Introducing a dog to cats.
Anyone have any experience with it? I was thinking about getting a puppy but I already have two house cats. One of the cats is scared of everything and anything not matter what it is and the other one has a real bitchy personality, doesn't like anyone including myself half the time lol. Ill be petting her and then stop and put my hand next to her or something and she will bite me. I have a feeling she will be very aggressive to a new animal. Any opinions?

If he's a puppy just let him go. They'll work out their issues on their own.
It's always worked for me. |
Probably they would have got along way better if they grew up with each other..Cats are very territorial and you probably will have a problem because the pup will want to play with them
|
Hmm yeah I figured they might never get along.

They should be fine .. Over the years I've always had dogs, my sister always cats. They eventually get along fine. An adult cat will just go out of the pup's reach if it's annoyed.

I have 4 full grown cats 1 tame and three wild. just let the puppy do what it does and let the cats do what they do. you'll be fine. my pit now 7 months old sleeps with Noel my 14 year old tom cat. he bitches and moans but curls up anyway

Eventually they'll get over their issues, just might take awhile.

i know to introduce dogs to each other you're supposed to have them meet on neutral ground...like a park or something.
