I agree with you about the crater, but Pakistan took Daniel Pearl, not Afghanistan.

i felt ill when he was first kidnapped. i feel the same now. i do not however feel that an entire country should be laid to waste because of the actions of a few sociopaths.

I went to journalism school and my husband actually is a journalist. What seperated the two of us was that Iwas not willing to die for a story. I wish he felt the same but I guess that is why he made it as a journalist.

He's saying the truth, it's in the international press (reuters). I read it in the newspaper and saw it on the news.. yet when I surfed the internet (yahoo, cnn) they mention no word about the beheading... maybe they don't want to outrage people.. or to make it look morbid.. I dunno.

Although it's really tragic and sad that Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and ultimately killed, he kinda wasn't really thinking.

His wife is 7 months pregnant. Why did *HE* decide to goto Pakistan to interview some terrorists? Isn't that maybe something you SHOULDN'T be doing when you have a family to take care of?

If I were him, I would have FLATLY refused such an assignment. I don't care how much money was offered. Family comes first.
