great

Yes, it will be great for people producing content. I've said before that there is new technology coming out, and I think someone else mentioned a similar (if they aren't actually demoing with the company I'm referring to) product.

In this case it will be good for people who choose to protect their content -- and it won't be limited to content providers.

Want to send an email to a surfer with a WinMedia movie clip enclosed? Want to let them look at it 5 times, 3 times, whatever and then disable itself? Want to keep your surfer from downloading it to his hd, forwarding it in email or looking at it again? Or how's this? Let a guy download your entire members area on his trial without caring, since when he stops rebilling he can't see the pictures again? ROFL.

I'm sure MS will get a ton of support from software manufacturers as well, since the power to stop bootleg use of programs is in there too...

This will be core OS when it's released as part of the OS, and if someone tampers with it or disables it, well, Amp, you can be the first to tell them...

"Privacy experts said they feared the log file could be used by investigators, divorce lawyers, snooping family members, marketing companies or others interested in learning about a person's entertainment habits. It also could be used to make sure users have paid for the music or movie, and have not made an illegal copy. "
