Link directly to cams.com or make a co-branded site?
Thinking about getting more serious about pushing traffic to cam shows, and was wondering how everyone is doing.
Now that Lars is pushing the CAMS.COM brand as much as possible because it's a very easy to remember URL, is there a point to using the co-branded cams anymore? I know if I use co-branded cams, my surfers will have to go through my site everyday because they won't know any other place that offers those cams. But with CAMS.COM getting more known everyday, and because it's so easy to type that you don't even have to add it to your favorites, if they ever stumble upon CAMS.COM, they'll tell me to sod off and won't go through my site again. If they never signed up for free through my co-branded site up to that point, that's less customer for me.
On the other hand, if I push traffic to CAMS.COM with my ref code in it, there's a very big chance I won't get credited for sales because surfers rarely signup for free on their first visit. Next time they decide to visit (with a good chance they cleared the cookies/history/cache), they'll just type-in the CAMS.COM URL and I won't get credited. Again, less customers for me. Less chances of catching a whale.
So while using the CAMS.COM URL is very good to make the site grow and get more models and customers, there's a big chance a ton of surfers are gonna know about the site by word of mouth and are gonna signup to it without crediting any webmaster. The domain is too bloody easy to remember and type-in, that's the problem lol. :)
How is everyone here currently pushing cams.com?
