Kanye West...

Back-peddling like a mother fucker now! :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Mark my words; Kanye West will not be heard from ever again. I think he had a brain fart and didn't realize that "Conservative America" owns the media now. Those were the 7 words that ended his career, "George Bush Doesn't Care About Black People". :2 cents:

Remember the Dixie Chicks? Remember when they bashed Bush while in Europe? Have you heard shit from them since? EXACTLY!

StickyGreen 09-11-2005 09:41 PM

yea no shit, he's finished...

They were on Friday's relief show for Katrina ( or Corina if you prefer... )

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh

tapatio 09-11-2005 09:47 PM

Yeah he is done for sure. He will prolly make good sales from this album but thats about it

potter 09-11-2005 09:47 PM

Yeah, I couldn't name anyone who made their career in the rap industry with bad publicity......

GigoloJustin 09-11-2005 09:50 PM

The type of people who buy Kanye's music aren't conservitive. He'll be around around for a while.

It's not about who listens to what anymore. Music is "forced" onto people now and Conservative America runs that racket so they dictate who's popular and who's not. :2 cents:

I'm pretty sure he'll be alright.
Marilyn Manson has had a pretty good career, being a satanist and all...

So you're saying that popular radio stations aren't "forced" to play certain songs by certain artists?

I think hes refering to his underground local illegal station that doesnt have any advertisers :1orglaugh

StickyGreen 09-11-2005 10:07 PM

actually it's hard to say right now, cuz i was in the bay area this weekend...and their main rap station had little commercials saying shit like "106 KMEL...we support kanye west" and all this other bullshit...

Rob 09-11-2005 10:07 PM

Clear Channel Communications (which owns a majority of the "popular" radio stations in America) is ran by one of the top supporters of which U.S. President?

Fill in the Blanks:
GE_RGE W. B_SH, J_.

Whats the difference? Kanye West the black guy speaking his opinion, or Eminem the white guy speaking his opinion? It's hiphop man, his political views wont effect his music..

How about this one HighOnAcid.. Dixie Chicks are a country artist.. who is the majority of country fans? Redneck confederate republicans living in the south.. better believe the stations there wouldnt play their music.. Get a fucking clue.

Spunky 09-11-2005 10:07 PM

All those darkies look the same..who will remember wtf he said

broke 09-11-2005 10:08 PM

Wow -- I've been missing out.

I should have bought "The College Dropout" and "Late Registration"...

StickyGreen 09-11-2005 10:10 PM

who really gives a fuck anyways? i can't believe kanye west went from jay-z's little fag producer to rap superstar. he is a fucking NERD. all he raps about is gay shit and politics. people don't wanna hear that jesus shit in the club, they wanna hear some grimey ass crunk shit...

Biggy 09-11-2005 10:11 PM

kanye west isnt going anywhere.. he makes great music, and is still loved by his fans. it doesnt matter that conservatives control america, because those arent the people who buy his albums, and if they do, i highly doubt they'll let a political comment influence their decision on whether to purchase his CD or not. i also dont think the business heads are going to stop him, with all the money he is bringing in.

throwdown 09-11-2005 10:11 PM

too bad he couldnt have said that before Bush's reelection

ATL_Ryan 09-11-2005 10:11 PM

I don't agree with him but he has skills. Better than Little John and the rest of the crap rap out there.

Diamonds are Forever. :winkwink:

Who dictates what music is played? Redneck Confederate Republicans or African American Producers?

You can have the best album EVER but if no one hears it then it's shit. Pretty simple if you think about it.

MTV is pretty left wing if you ask me.. I'm interested in seeing the actual breakdown of how many Rap/Hiphop stations Clear Channel owns.. I'm sure its atleast 25% but no more then 50% in America.

Theres a difference between who and when somebody makes a statement.

If emimen did what kayne did _that day_ hed be in the same position: fucked.

robfantasy 09-11-2005 10:13 PM

hoa is true.. clear channel owns most of the radio stations black people listen to and radio stations have play lists dictated by money and power.... not how good your beats or rhymes are.

People love what's on the radio or MTV; THE MAINSTREAM! THE PULSE OF AMERICA!

If it's not played 500 times a day then it's not popular. If it's not amped up then it's not popular. If it's not marketed then it's not popular.

Do any of you shit talking Hip Hopsters even know a shit about the music industry?!?!?!?!

I think he has a strong enough following/fan base that would support his album.

LiveDose 09-11-2005 10:18 PM

It's all about money and his shit is going to fly off the shelves now because a huge number of people in this country agree with his statements. If I was black I would have been thinking the same thing during that joke of an operation put on by Louisiana and the Feds.

Yeah, you really are in-tuned with what's popular vs. what's forced fed. :1orglaugh

StickyGreen 09-11-2005 10:21 PM

You can't judge the effect of his comments by this new album's record sales lol. he's had singles out for months promoting this album. it's gonna sell regardless of what he said a few days ago. it will take awhile to see what happens to him...

Sosa 09-11-2005 10:21 PM

he isn't done

Yup.. if he brings out an album now itll sell crazy.. probably a huge spike in his current albums.

but in half a year when a new albums comes out he needs airtime.. just like any other artist to sell his stuff.. and then he aint gettin' that y0.

Rob 09-11-2005 10:22 PM

Hit me up in 6 months and you'll be asking, "Kanye, Who?"....

Mark my words!

directfiesta 09-11-2005 10:23 PM

WELL, MAYBE KANYE WEST WAS RIGHT?.

I'm sure many old school heads here know I have a pulse in the music industry.. Seriously, if it was some mixtape rapper, no one would care.. Kanye has a following that is highly respectable..

Rob 09-11-2005 10:27 PM

Like I said, get with me in 6 months. Kanye West won't be shit in 6 months.

I'm sure in 6 months his publicity will be way down anyway.. He would be working on/finishing new album.. Give it atleast a year before his next album comes out.

He'll keep the hoodrats that don't have enough money to buy his cds

nojob 09-11-2005 10:34 PM

He still will make $X,XXX,XXX.XX just from the money from Jay Z. He wins either way.

V_RocKs 09-11-2005 10:34 PM

The difference is that Kayne West is black and black producers don't give a fuck about conservative America.
