Finally saw 'Bowling For Columbine'

This movie isn't supposed to be funny but it's tragically funny in a Shakespearean sort of way.

Very brilliant!

Especially liked the kid with the concealed weapons. It got funnier each step.

not really....you know if he didn't talk in his movies he might get more people to see them, he belongs behind a camera, not on one

Nah that movie was bloody brilliant!

Very informative and brilliant comparisons. U.S. foreign death tally was quite shocking. Didn't realize we'd killed that many people in other countries. Kinda defeats the purpose of why the Constitution was about.

Didn't like the ambush bait & switch on Heston though. Pickin' on an 70+ year old man in his own home really, really sucked and invalidated much of Moore's debate. Real cheap shot shit on his part.

It's good for Greg, who is currently lapping up all the anti-right wing rhetoric he can find to somehow further rationalize/insulate his position, then posting it on GFY to the tune of 24 posts per day atm.

For the rest of us in the middle, it's a movie that plays very fast and loose with the facts, glossing over important points while overdramatizing the viewpoint of the left. It's a good film, as long as you take the time to later research the factoids Moore presents. Some are spot on, some are borderline, and some are plain false.

I partly agree. Going against the guy that starred in Planet of the Apes - one of my all time fave movies - doesn't feel right somehow.

Should have picked some rifle company CEO or something.

Good film.

I think that's his agenda in general. He wants to make serious points but he's prepared to do it in a way that makes you laugh. AKA Satire. He may be loose with some of his facts and pull some questionable stunts, but they work well to highlight the point that there is another side to the issues that we wouldn't even know about if it wasn't for Michael Moore.

He should loose some weight though. He'll have a heart attack and die soon and then he wont be able to continue his good work.

I.

I think I was still in College when that thrilling incident happened.
