Try Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio clean, intense aroma and dry flavour with pleasant golden apple aftertaste

I love wine and we usually drink a nice bottle with Dinner, but one that i found from an ex froma few years ago that only cost's $10.00 but is very good is Vampire Wine, the Merlot has a fruity taste to it but is very good with a nice steak dinner, Try it out sometime. www.vampire.com

Big K Cola is nice, and only $4.50 for a 24 pack... its not white wine, but you can use the money you just saved and buy yourself something cooler than wine, like fireworks :) it will make you happier and its lots more fun too

get a Sauvignon Blanc to go with crab.

StickyGreen 09-11-2005 08:05 PM

white wine is for women...

Screw the pretentious $100 shit. Go buy a 4-L box of Hochtaler and have at it.

Cheap wine + crab legs + a fine woman = a veritable pagan lustfest.

Exactly, you can have excellent wines at 10-15$ a bottle.

Chardonnay is my favorite amongst the white wines. I like others that have a particular taste for a specific entree, but it's hard to go wrong with a nice Chardonnay when dining on seafood.

Here is a list of generally quite good Napa/Sonoma Chardonnay wineries ($12-40 price range):

ZD
Ferrari-Carano
Freemark Abby
Clos Pegase
Chateau St Jean
Benziger

In the $10 range, Kendall-Jackson, BV, and Hess Select are generally safe choices.

Pinot Grigio or Pinot Gris are also good with Crab, but you will have to be more selective on the vintner.

Bon appetit,

ADG, if you're a big fan of Chards, you may wanna try Paul Hobbs Russian River Chardonnay, about $40/bottle. It's really quite good.
