I'm just curious to see how many of you guys use spyware and what type of spyware you use on your sites.

I was asking that very question because I just ran an adware scanner and found 450 infections! So it just got me thinking.

Dozens of adult companies/webmasters get (part of) their servers hacked every day with 0-day exploits and getting spyway code installed. It's a whole sub-industry of hackers and spyware/trojan affiliate programs.

Nothing better than for a bunch of newbie affiliates to bash these victim programs then for "supporting spyware".

adaware also alerts on cookies........cookies are not NOT spyware

Even some of the big programs use spyware, or buy the information from the people that use it.
If you don't know that, you are living in a very small and protected environment.
But will anybody admit to using it? - no

No, never used any and never will, thats a stupid thing to do IMO.

Lol if I actually owned a site that would be feasible... since I only edit video... I doubt I would try to play around with spyware.

It pisses me off just as much as it pisses everyone else off.

Try using some other browser instead of shitty IE...go with Opera or Firefox and keep them updated.
That has stopped all spyware problems on friend`s and family computers I have to fix.

I heard Firefox was still pretty buggy, haven't used it myself so I wouldn't know by personnal experience

I had a guy hit us up a few months ago offering to put "spyware" (although he didn't call it that) on all of our sites for us and said we could increase our revenue by 5%....lol
