Thinking Of Getting A BMW Z4. Any Experiences? Good Or Bad?
 

I'm seriously thinking about getting one, I love the look of them, anyone I speak to can't talk highly enough of them.

My mum however says its too flashy for me, I'm 22 years old and she thinks I shouldn't get it. So I can't make my mind up.

Also, my girlfriend hates it, and agrees with my mum.

Anyone got experience with them? good? bad? indifferent? I wanna hear them all.

Move to America and buy a truck

LOL I like that Mike. Ya know, over here its mainly business men and women who drive them around. I've yet to see a young person in one and thats why I'm thinking maybe I should get one. Sometimes people don't take seriously and shit and I drive a top of the range Golf GTI at the moment. If I turn up in one of these things I bet people will take me more serious.



(by people not taking me serious I mean when I went looking for houses a while back, they see a young guy walking in asking about houses and they just think you are taking the piss)

Porsche Boxter is the poor mans Porsche. Or so its said over here. I like them, but personally I prefer the Z4 to it.

ya .. i see a few Biz men driving them .. it's nice ... I'm 30 and i still get that look when i go to buy a high priced item ... must be the tattoos or could be the car that I'm driving at the time ... when i pull up in a range rover i get a quick Can I Help you sir .... but i also have a 1990 Buick regal that was my dads ..very clean and i drive it to work a lot ... just to save miles ... it's clean but If I pull up to a high end car dealer (like a have been ... I'm looking for something myself) They'll let me walk around the dealer looking till i ask for help ... it's funny

I guess it doesn't help that I'm in jeans and a T-shirt most days ... but when you fill out the paperwork there attitude changes .. :1orglaugh

Most times its ok, I have the last laugh and shit. But there was this one time I went to see a few houses with my girlfriend. There was this one house, real fucking nice and big, expensive as well. Well the woman showed me around a few of the different houses, and as we got to the big one another woman joined us. So I look around and I loved it. Wouldn't buy it as my first house but could afford it.

So we're talking and the first woman who showed me round is real nice and shit, asking if I liked any. I say yeah the big one. The second woman (her manager) turns and says to me "haha don't well all? I can't afford it so I doubt you could"

My girl said the look on my face was priceless. How the fuck does that silly woman know how much I earn? Just coz I'm young, she assumes I can't afford it. Needless to say I didn't buy a house from that company!
