Just pick up a bunch of high 8 camcorders with remote controll zooming. Also look into some remote control pan/tilt tripods and osprey video cards.

Screw the webcam bs.

dont get carried away with expensive cams. no matter what you think, they will get trashed. no matter what people say, there is no difference in quality if you are using a camcorder. the video signal is the video signal. some work a little better in low light but it all doesn't matter - its easy to add more light to the room for $10.00

save your money, buy ANY cheap camcorders and go from there. dont buy 1500-2000 sony/canon cams with the remote control base, just to have the remote controls get broken or lost immediately, the bases get broken etc etc etc. always better to start as cheaply as possible and learn the lessons than to spend a lot of money and lose it all learning the same lessons.

I should clarify that while I recommended the Sony EVI D-30, I don't have any actual experience in using them in a adult webcam studio environment. However, I found out about that camera by seeing it in actual use in an adult webcam studio, and have since used it in other applications. It's a good cam.

When researching the types of cams out there, I hit a few webcam studios...did the upsell thing to get some one-on-one "tell the model what to do" time, and I asked her to a) hold a mirror up to the cam so I could see it, and b) to read the model number off the back of it. Got a lot of "that's the first time anyone has ever asked me to do that!" type questions, but it was a good review into what others were using. :)
