how long does it take for adwords campaign to get started?
 

started one up last night thinking it would only take a half hour or so but here it is saturday afternoon and even tho it says active i've still got no clicks or anything. are they manually approved now or something?

hmm, i thought it was an easy enough question. i'd really like to know why my campaign never started. i guess i'll just email them and hope to get a reply.

No dude, you should be good to go. We just started one last week, and it's sending traffic. Just test your words in google...we did, and within about 15 minutes of getting my credit card, they were showing up.

It's definately a learning curve on adwords...we tweek them almost everyday.

I think for some keywords they need to approve the campaign. It depends on lots of factors. Sometimes I start a campaign and it immediately starts showing and sometimes it takes a few days. Normally they respond to emails within 24 hours (on business days).

yeah, 30 minutes or so was the norm for me until i tried the other day. i don't know why it didn't start. my keywords were shemales, brazilian girls. stuff you'd think a lot of people would be searching for.

certain keywords and creative content will auto-flag for manual approval on adwords.. takes 24-72 hours depending on your account history. good luck with your campaigns!
