The reason I ask is because one of my employees gets paid $7.75 an hour and has some of the coolest shit. A 2004 Lexus, a nice new house (2800 sq. feet), and is always wearing nice new clothes. I ask him how he affords it all and he simply tells me that he's good at managing money and saving.

FUCK THAT! I think he has another job and it's not the type of job where taxes are due or company registrations are necessary. :2 cents:

I could do it if I had to, the cost of living here in Winnipeg is really not high, although it is getting a bit higher lately.

In the Philippines, that's a nice income--P60K+ per month.

I wouldn't be too surprised. When my folks immigrated from the Philippines to the USA, both of them worked minimum wage jobs but they were able to save and manage their money to get a nice house, decent clothes and transportation. It may not be as bling bling as a new Lexus and Armani threads but they knew how to manage their money. It stems from the fact that my mom came from a family of 8 kids that pretty much had to raise themselves so every penny was saved. They rationed 1 cup to 1/2 cup of rice per sibling per day... but they managed to graduate college and get jobs.

So... it all depends on how people save and how hard they want to work. It's very possible to achieve that one income as well as selling MLM stuff on the side and other 'supplemental' income.

What business do you run? There is NO WAY any of my employees embezzle money from me. First and foremost, I have an accountant that scrutinizes purchases over $10! I can ensure you that he does not steal anything from me.

He might have family money, who knows.

don't get all offended, but i'm telling you that you can't have all ths hit at $7.75 an hour. Hell the average person where I live makes that and no one drives a Lexus. Maybe those that work for Dupont, but most are geting paid $20-$30 an hour.

mn it all depends.. if he's wife pays for housing.. he could be using those 1200 dollars a month just for his car payments and clothing.. i'v know many people who look like they are very wealthy but if you look at their bank accounts of wallets they are allways empty

Surviving on income like that is very doable. Millions of people earn that or less and they manage to somehow survive.

Surviving and living in a 2800 sq ft house and driving a Lexus is 2 different things.
