Over 100k in the bank, just got a call from them today. I signed some docs for him a couple of years ago (its my father, i trusted him like no one else) . When I called him to tell about it he just hanged up on me. I'm very disappointed as he was my best friend ever.

I just wish someone here could take his website down and put a message on it... anyone able to do that?

Btw... be happy with the father you have. Certainly its not worse than mine.

He opened a company with his wife's father name just to get those loans as his name was already screwed up

I was a bailer (not sure if its the right word, just translated it on altavista) for a couple of loans he did in this company's name (over 100k)

Hire a lawyer, sue him, get your money back (or atleast most of it) and never speak to him again.

Actually it was a loan he got but the bank only accepted me as a bailer (fiador) because they knew i have enough money/properties to pay for it.. its not about the money only (of course im very pissed off about it too) but it was about the trusty i had in this man.. He doing something like that was totally imaginable for me

So basically you were a cosigner for his loan and then he defaulted and took the money, so now the bank is going to make you repay the loan or they will take your property.

My father-in-law had a very similar problem with his brother, but instead of being a bailer (?) he had in his name a tiny % of his brother's company. He lost his car (very very old) and taxi license :(

His brother hides from him when he's in Fortaleza.

he is broke.. he owns the farm and a few properties but he has nothing in his name anymore.. he transferred everything to other people's name so the government or any other creditor couldnt take it

i already talked with a couple of lawyers but they also think that there are nothing mutch to do as he dont have anything in his name anymore.. hard case i guess.. they are studying the case and i hope i can get better responses next week

to loose money is bad enough but to have someone you love/trust betray you is much worse :(


yes the word in English is Guarantor or co-signer
(you guarantee his loan to be paid by putting your name/property on the line)

well the damage is done, i myself would find it hard to ever forgive that

he would have to have a real good legitimate excuse, (from what you say not the case though)

On the positive side of things, you'll never have to worry about him asking for something again.

start by breaking his left knee

tell him give you back the money or you will break his right knee in 5 days
he wont be able to run away with a broken knee, and it hurts like nothing you can imagine, will definately motivate him to get the money back

My cousin was about 19 and in a car accident. She got a small settlement out of it. Her dad told her he could go over to a police auction and get her a nice car for a small amount. She gave him the $10,000 and he brought her back a nice barely used red Mitsubishi Eclipse. She was so happy, and everyone loved her car. Her dad ended up disappearing though.

About a year and a half later she gets pulled over for speeding and turns out the car was stolen from a dealer in another state and her dad had taken the money to head to Vegas.

I never saw mine. He's an asshole who didn't even pay elamony.
However, he can't rip me off. Every cloud has a silver lining :P

Important lesson for ya.... fucked up way to learn it though.

it may not seem like the right course of action, but i would fuck his world up any way i could, go to his house or wherever he lives, completely destroy all his belongings, and let him know he doesn't have a son anymore.

also, everyone he is friends with, let him know what a scumbag he is and make the story known. ripping off your own son is 1000X worst than a regular con.

Alvaro, I think you'll regret any type of revenge you take. Maybe just try to work it out somehow, with a positive outcome. He's still your dad and one day you'll turn around and he'll be gone.
