FEMA Director Brown Fired/Resigns?

Yo, FEMA director was reassigned back to Washington D.C.

Comes to find out he LIED his ass off on his resume'.

He said he was a professor, he wasn't.

He said he was an assistant mayor, and he wasn't.

That's just the tip of the iceberg.

His biggest claim to fame was being a horse show director???

Bush appointed this guy to head FEMA???? FEMA is supposed to the the hot seat for when disasters and terrorists strike and somehow someone told Bush this guy was the man for the job?

Bush was BULLSHITTED AGAIN.

He's ending up like Ronald Reagan. Surrounded by people looking to use him instead of serve him.

Yet the buck stops with Bush and I'll bet it was Cheney who recommended Brown.

Anyone up for 'President Cheney'?

BJ 09-09-2005 03:36 PM

cheney rocks

dready 09-09-2005 03:38 PM

Cheney would be awesome! Especially if Ronald Macdonald was his running mate!

Greg B 09-09-2005 03:44 PM

Cheney would be disqualified because of his health.

bopha 09-09-2005 04:04 PM

Actually,

The Washington Post reported that five of eight top FEMA officials had come to their jobs with virtually no experience in handling disasters. The agency's top three leaders, including Brown, had ties to Bush's 2000 presidential campaign or the White House team that lays the groundwork for presidential trips.

Brown's biography on the agency Web site said he had once served as an "assistant city manager with emergency services oversight," but Time quoted an official in Edmond, Oklahoma, as saying the job was actually "assistant to the city manager," with little responsibility.

"The assistant is more like an intern," city spokeswoman Claudia Deakins told the magazine. "Department heads did not report to him."

Favors, cronyism, old college roomates, ...etc...

Yep! Same thing in all areas of business. Brown may be up on charges as it's a felony if I recall to falsify documents submitted for employment for a federal position. State also if I am correct.

What's scary is if these guys got away with it, how many other jobs are filled the same way and what dangers are we facing?

It's like I've said before, Bush got bullshitted AGAIN. Same thing happened with every Republican President from Nixon on til now.

bopha 09-09-2005 04:17 PM

Sorry Bud,

Bush is the BullshitTER not the BullshiTEE.

We, the people are the ones being Bullshitted.

No they're not. Republicans were supposed to be finished after Nixon resigned and put the entire country in disgrace.

They came back 6 years later after a Repulican/CIA bullshit hostage crisis in Iran.

They then ruled for 12 fucking years.

Now they've ruled for about 6 after an 8 year hiatus after a very questionable election and have blown up shit in other countries, fucked up policy, broken laws etc.

The Republicas are never going away. People don't vote Republican to uphold the traditional values which are never enforced. They vote Republican to keep black people in line so that the money from the American people can be used to fight global economic interests.

Democrats whore themselves, Republicans whore us.

I would agree with ya but Bush is not that sharp to be that good a bullshitter.

Yeah he can bullshit his wife or family about being out playing golf or shooting ducks when he was supposed to be at a bar-b-que, but bullshitting the Earth about global economics and warfare?

Nawwwwww....

He was bullshitted by the State Dept., DOJ, CIA, NSA etc.

We've had more disasters under his leadership than Lincoln.

Luckily the death toll is nowhere as high.

Latest news is the N'Orleans death toll may not be anywhere near as high as 10,000 and may be as low as just a few hundred. Seems many people they thought were dead had already hauled ass.

That may be the only thing that saves his ass this go round.

US government knew of dire risks posed by Katrina: FEMA document

WASHINGTON, Sept 9 (AFP) - One million evacuees, and up to 350,000 left homeless: that would be the results of a hurricane hitting New Orleans, according to a year-old document from the US Federal Emergency Management Agency made public on Friday.

:warning

Meanwhile, Bush says: "Katrina will make us stronger"

And comparing to 9/11 ... This man has no shame.

Dude, read:

'The agency's top three leaders, including Brown, had ties to Bush's 2000 presidential campaign or the White House team that lays the groundwork for presidential trips.'

You or I couldnt get a fucking job at the DMV without our references being verified and yet this guy is head of one of the top Federal agencies. You think Bush had nothing to do with this?

FEMA has 2,000 employee's. It has no aircraft or delivery vehicles.
It's function is to work with city, state, and local first responders which seemed to disappear in NO. Next line is the national guard which the gov hesitated calling out for 24 hours, so just whom was FEMA supposed to work with? They had the supplies there.
Even the red cross had supplies there and were not allowed in.

The feds cannot just go charging into a state without the Gov's consent which she refused to give.
:(

FEMA Veteran Decries Agency's Storm Response

Listen to this story...

Weekend Edition - Saturday, September 10, 2005 · Jane Bullock, a career employee of the Federal Emergency Disaster Agency, says the federal response to the storm was the worst she's seen in 22 years on the job. She tells Scott Simon a major mistake was a failure to have boats, helicopters and other resources in place early enough.

Well the prophesy from 3 days ago has come true when I started this thread.

Brown resigned.

That don't let Bush off the hook. He praised the dude and now dude is OWNED.

Bush's advisors SUCK ASS! They're doing to Bush what they did to Reagan. He needs to do a better job of back checking his information. From the ignoring the Al Queda threat from not paying attention to the bull WMDs and so on.

Bush's administration will be remembered as 'The Disaster President' but it all don't fall on him. I'm telling you guys, just wait, he'll catch on and then there'll be heck to pay.

loverboy 09-12-2005 01:26 PM

what took him so long? that fucker should have drowned in
the cold waters of the hurricane. what an idiot
