Some people think that we only evolved while we were in the state of nature and that it isn't possible to evolve outside it.

You know, as mad as "MAD" sounds the concept actually worked.

Think about it.

Not since the end of WWII has there been a mega (i.e. superpower vs. superpower) war.

We're talking 60 years without a direct superpower confrontation. That's unheard of! Take a look in any history book and you'll see that this has not been the case since the height of the Roman Empire.

Of course, once a radical moslem state gets it's hands on "the ultimate weapon" all bets will be off :(
